Jewelweed
Meet Jewelweed — a legendary summer companion and one of Creation Farm’s most beloved plant allies.
For over 25 years, we’ve gathered this remarkable herb by hand each season, harvesting both from wild-simulated beds here on the farm and from remote forest wetlands where Jewelweed thrives untouched. Every summer, thousands of pounds of fresh Jewelweed are collected at peak vitality, then prepared in small batches using the formulas we first developed in our Appalachian days — long before Jewelweed became a “secret” everyone whispered about at festivals and farmers' markets.
If you’ve ever spent summers outdoors — hiking, gardening, camping, or simply existing anywhere mosquitoes and underbrush have opinions — you begin to understand why Jewelweed has such a loyal following. For generations, this plant has been the quiet companion of woodsmen, herbalists, and foragers, celebrated for the comfort it brings to summer skin and the way it supports those… “unpleasant encounters” with the natural world.
We can’t make clinical claims, but we can tell you what our community tells us year after year:
✨ It’s the plant they reach for when summer gets “stingie” and "ouchie" and "itchie"
✨ It’s the one that lives in gloveboxes, daypacks & camp totes
✨ It’s the bottle they don’t head into the woods without
✨ It’s the first thing people buy again — before mosquito season begins
There’s a reason we’ve driven across states, camped in remote bogs, stood ankle-deep in mountain seep springs, and carried Jewelweed home by the truckload. It’s because this is one of those plants you come to trust through experience — not because anyone wrote a marketing claim about it.
Our Jewelweed products are crafted from fresh, just-picked plants, never dry stock, using the old-fashioned processing methods we honed in North Carolina and Michigan festival circuits over two decades. The result is a line beloved by gardeners, hikers, campers, festival folks, outdoor families, and anyone who knows summer is beautiful… and occasionally a bit itchy.
If you spend time outdoors in the warm months, this is one plant you’ll want close by.
